Equipment:
The Kubota B-21 is referred to as a "compact" tractor/loader/backhoe. It is a tough, full-industrial quality machine in a small package. It is extremely flexible and adaptable for a wide variety of minor excavation and material-moving projects.. The B-21 is particularly suited for sites with limited entry access problems or where minimizing unwanted machine impact is a concern (existing lawns, driveways etc.) This machine is particularly handy where there is concern for minimizing impact, trying to preserve native vegetation or existing plants. If you are an environmentalist trying to build a home "gently" that's good, i'll work with you. Machine operators don't have to be all "rip-n-tear."
Kubota B-21 Features:
4-WHEEL-DRIVE TRACTOR; NOT a skidsteer (ie. bobcat), so it is a lot gentler on surfaces. (I don't have to destroy your whole yard in order to help you prepare for the new patio, pond or service trenches).
- machine weight is only 3900 lb., again, low-impact
- only 56" wide; can access through a 5' wide opening (84" with backhoe stabilizers spread)
- 1/4 yard loader bucket, with 1500 lb. break-out force and 930 lb. lift
- Backhoe: -1700 lb. break-out force-Digging depth= 7.5 ' with 2' flat bottom = 5.7' with 8' flat bottom - 12", 16" and 24" wide buckets
- Custom-built forks are mountable on the loader bucket for additional material-handling ability (logs, ties etc.)
